Institute of Tourism Studies

The Institute of Tourism Studies (ITS) is Malta’s leading public educational institution dedicated to Tourism and Hospitality education. Since its establishment in 1987, ITS has specialised in providing a blend of academic knowledge and practical, hands‑on training to prepare students for careers in the global tourism industry.

ITS offers a comprehensive range of programmes from Foundation and Certificate levels up to Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, emphasizing real‑world experience in training restaurants, kitchens, bar labs, wine labs and hospitality labs. The institute has strong international collaborations with top institutions, including Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management (EAHM), Haaga‑Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), and Institut Lyfe (France), giving students international exposure and higher education progression pathways.
